SVP Chicago Website Design
While serving as their communications and programs manager, I redesigned the website for SVP Chicago, a nonprofit working to change philanthropy in the Windy City. Their first website launched in 2014 and had a simplistic structure. The redesign placed an emphasis on intuitive navigation and engaging informational elements wrapped in a cleaner look.
Reimagining a Brand
The original website, which was built using WordPress, primarily consisted of basic text and stock photos. The navigation was not intuitive and it was easy to get lost within the site.

For the redesign, I wanted to show the mission of the nonprofit through the design elements. Where the old site used images of downtown and pictures from inspirational billboards, I wanted the primary focus to be the people and nonprofits that the organization worked with throughout the website. All design elements are eye-catching, but more importantly functional.

I collaborated with my colleague to create copy, and built new widgets throughout to make each page more user-friendly.

Final Product
We launched the completed website at the end of 2022 and received almost immediate praise from various stakeholders about the improved quality and ease of the new design. Check out the completed project below!
